The 3rd Meeting of the Regional Task Forces on Municipal Wastewater Management and Physical Alteration and Destruction of Habitats was held in Toliara, Madagascar in the period 3-5 May 2007. The main topics of deliberation during the meeting were:
- Development and implementation of the demonstration projects;
- Assessment of the status of Municipal Wastewater Management in the WIO Region and the development of a Regional Annex to the Global GPA Guidelines for Municipal Wastewater Management;
- GPA Key Principles for PADH Management and in particular their applicability to the region;
- Regional assessment of marine litter in the WIO region;
- Priority problems and issues related to MWW and PADH Management in the region as input for the Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis for the WIO Region.
