Third regional meeting of the Water, Sediment and Biota Quality Assessment and Monitoring Working Group

The third meeting of the regional working group on water, sediment and biota quality for the WIO-LaB project will take place in Maputo, Mozambique, on 19th and 20th July 2007.  The main purpose of the meeting will be to:

  • Review progress made by participating Institutions in the assessment of the existing status of pollution and the implementation of the National Monitoring Programmes;
  • Review the draft Environmental Quality Objectives and Guidelines on the basis of the technical discussion document and draft annex (prepared by CSIR) to the proposed new Nairobi Convention Protocol on Land-based Activities.
