4th Meeting of the WSQ Working Group

Dar es Salaam, 23-25 June 2009

The 4th and Final Meeting of the Regional Working Group on Water, Sediment and Biota Quality will take in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from 23 to 25 June 2009. The Working Group will review, among others, the results of the regional monitoring programme and pollution status assessment.

The Group will furthermore confirm the list of pollution hot spots for the region, based on the new data has become available, as well as the regional Guidelines for Environmental Quality Objectives and Targets. Finally, the Working Group will define a long-term Monitoring Protocol and review mechanisms for its implementation.
